The Triple Bottom Line Index (TBLI) makes it quick and easy for small organisations across all sectors to assess and benchmark their social, environmental and financial performance and impact against an agreed set of indicators. Once signed up, reporting will take less than 30 minutes a month.
Working on-line, participating organisations will self-evaluate their position on a scale of indicators, environmental, social and financial. Their position on the TBLI will automatically be logged and advised to them on-line. Spot checks will be carried out to ensure accurate reporting.
To help them improve their position on the TBLI, model policies and manuals will be available for download from the TBLI website. With their permission, a participant's position on the TBLI will be published, initially to others in the scheme, later to the public.
Participants will have three TBLI standards to aim for: bronze, silver and gold. The TBLI indicators and benchmarking standards will be reviewed regularly by TBLI and its participants. In this way the TBLI will be based on realistic, effective, current and achievable standards.
